While all are popular nicknames of one of the most iconic firearms in American history, the Auto-Ordnance® Thompson 1927A-1 .45 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol is most famously referred to as the Tommy Gun. The Thompson was built for World War I, but was finished too late. It was pitched to law enforcement and military without much interest. Instead, the Tommy Gun ended up being widely used amongst organized street criminals and received most of its nicknames from that world. This is a fine reproduction of the classic original, in pistol form, with the same quality craftsmanship that made it a legend. This model features an aluminum frame and receiver, American walnut furniture, 10.5" barrel, and blade front sight/adjustable rear. Includes one 50-round drum magazine. Accepts stick and drum magazine.
