The 22LR recoil system eliminates the need for a buffer tube. With your standard AR-15 controls, the Heckler & Koch 416 22LR functions great as an economic trainer to your 5.56 NATO pistol. The 8.5" threaded barrel is topped off with a flash hider and tucked neatly under a full-length, free-float, MLOK® slotted rail. The receiver set and rail are all aluminum and feel closer to the 5.56 AR-15s when compared to other models, most of which are made of plastic or polymer. The HK416 22LR is ready to go out of the box with a flip-up, polymer sight set.
